Disc filters for mechanical treatment are used for both coarse and fine mechanical treatment of water. Filters are successfully used to protect equipment sensitive to coarse impurities. Fineness of treatment is from 20 to 200 μm.
The filter consists of special discs made of high-strength plastic. The discs have special grooves of a certain depth; when the discs are compressed, a cylinder with thin holes is formed through which the water is filtered.
Due to the compression of the discs in the mechanical water filter, a filter element with a minimum cell size is formed. Dirty water passes through the discs and leaves them already treated, and all impurities and inclusions are retained on the outside surface. Then they are removed during washing.
The flushing water flow rate does not exceed 1.5% of the unit capacity.
